APOSTOLICS GROUPS

Apostolic groups is a teaching space of Christian and human formation, to strengthen the growth in faith, from the personal, the communal and social. The pastoral is dividing in some groups this groups are:

ü CHILDHOOD

Is a group that intended awaken in the students the sense of the community life, spiritual and social that lead to have a true missionary consciousness according to the vital cycle which are.

ü JVX (youth Christian life)

Is a communitary experience, when the students undertake with an option by the experience of the Christian values.

ü CVX (Christian life community)

Young people the meeting in a same faith accompanying in the growth, maturation and in the personal integration and communitary from the ignatian spirituality.

ü LIFOLI (leaders forming leaders)

Leaders forming leaders, is an experience of leadership formation with a theoretical methodology, that search support the process of integral development in the students.

ü WORKSHOP COURSE

Is an experience that points in the strengthening of the ignatian leadership ogrowth of the inner life. It draws on the experience of the Spiritual Exercises accompanied by St. Ignatius Loyola.

ü RED CROSS

A training area that allows students brigade, knowing the structure, dynamics, protocols and standards of the Colombian Red Cross and International Red Cross. Also invites them to serve in a particular way, important and selfless people in need of attention, and they create a culture of self-care and care for others.

The pastoral service use different groups To strengthen the job in group and in small but active part Of the church, this groups are changed and they work whit kids of 5 years to persons of 18 years, thre are a big nomber of groups this are some groups:

-        Infancy

A group that tries to wake up in the students the sense of the community, spiritual and social life that he carries to having a real missionary identical conscience to the vital cycle in which they are.

-        youth of the life christens  (in Spanish: JVX)

A group that tries to wake up in the students the sense of the community, spiritual and social life that he carries to having a real missionary identical conscience to the vital cycle in which they are.

-         community of life christens (in Spanish : CVX)

Young people gathered in one faith accompanying the growth, maturity and personal integration and community from Ignatian spirituality.

-        Leaders forming leaders (in spanish : LIFOLI)

Leaders Forming Leaders, a leadership training experience with theoretical and practical methodology, which aims to support the integral development of students.

-        I deal workshop

Berchmans Scout Group No. 1 is perhaps the most traditional group in the city and is                     essentially a ministry through which it serves others

F.A.S

Fas wants to say formation social actionhelps to show what other people are suffering and have different also helps us learn that people with differences are not bad. learn that we must accept people as they are because they also have feelings and have some defect or something the aga different for them does not affect much in life because they learn to overcome it.FAS marked much my life, have learned to accept people as they are not issues that are of low socioeconomic status or has a defect, just think if you were in  place  because I have  curiosity.Also at the school with the friends we can implement our learning.In my previous experiences I have had very good memories that make me reflect on what they live or what I complain piensio always in my memories and makes me think when I yell at my mom i knowed that a baby without a mother or father and so I think two times before say something.let's talk about the encounter with Christ which is also linked. the encounter with Christ helps us think what we have experienced and to reflect on what emos lived also helps you get closer to God in body and soul, with activities and prayers also helps clear the mind and get closer to Christ.

The community service mainly talks about many things but the topic that we chose is pastoral. Pastoral is a service that help the people in many things, they help a poor persons, drunk persons, etc. also and they collected clothe for the poor people, they do a output that one grade for day go to a orphanage, a institute, etc. where we go and share one day with this persons that need the help, this is pastoral.

the PASTORAL service of the berchmans community:

The idea is to make now that the students a lot of things of the life of Jesus, job in community, etc., and to do this the PASTORAL use activities in groups or individual, I find whit cristo ( in group or individual), Eucharist (in group), and use different places, cultivates of Loyola, parish, and green zones two job, and use playful activities, read, games, etc.

institute for the blind and deaf

I did a social service when I went to school blind and deaf  I learned that with  these defects  one can live happy.I really enjoyed the experience and hope to return soon this is what makes us live Berchmans community service (pastoral)For the years 1940, Ms. Luisita Sanchez Hurtado, a person with strong will service and proven track record in high places of the city was given the task of founding an institution for Vallecaucanos Rehabilitation Deaf and Blind Children; substantiated in the situation of helplessness and vulnerability in which they found them at the time. As a result of management was and by Executive Resolution No. 78 of July 29, 1942 issued by the Ministry of Government, Institute Foundation formalized in a batch of 7488 meters square, delivered by the Governor of the time and where remains headquartered today.

The renowned institution and positioning has been through difficult times for the commitment and integrity of subsequent administrations have been overcome and taken as experiences in the process of improvement, so as to 1979, a reconstruction of the demolished home by an earthquake while still retaining the boarding school, at which point he returned as a shared responsibility to the role of family upbringing and education of their children, assuming the rehabilitation institution in the form of externship.

Since its foundation in both modes, by the Institute have spent 3,000 children with hearing impairment and visual, have been formed and is now noted for their ability to work. At the social level there are professionals who play a role in the different fields; occupying senior executive positions as evidenced by a former student of the Blind Section, which currently serves as Mayor of Santiago de Cali, elected by popular vote

Community Service
This is the principal idea of this community is center idea of this is yes, Witnessing to the love of Christ through service is integral to any Catholic education. Our program is not just about service – it is about service-learning and servant leadership. As a school we want our students to reflect on their service, to gain understanding about people’s lives, and to witness how our society does and doesn’t take care of its most vulnerable members. We are focused on Catholic Social Teaching, social justice and the role that each of us plays to bring it about in our world. Our goal is to instill service and positive global engagement as a core lifelong value in our student’s live

Pastoral Care

Pastoral care and spiritual direction are available for all students and their parents through the school chaplain, Fr. William Heroic. Remembering daily to “take care of one another” is the responsibility of every member of the EC school community; students, faculty, staff and parents.

Pastoral Care Program 

Pastoral care is a free service provided by Catholic Community Services. It is an important element of care that endeavors to prevent social exclusion, to support the emotional and spiritual wellbeing of our clients through a ministry of presence and companionship within the philosophy of our mission and values as an organization.

The service is available to all those requiring support regardless of their faith tradition as well as to those who have no allegiance to a particular faith or religious belief. Catholic Community Services recognizes we are a culturally diverse society and that a person’s spirituality or modes of worship can be expressed through a diverse array of customs and practices.
